A member of the National Association of REALTORS® since 2006, LaShawn has educated and successfully negotiated transactions for first time home buyers, renters and investors. She especially enjoys helping to make the dream of home ownership a reality for clients new to the home buying process, and also specializes in resale, new construction, lease agreements and out-of-state referrals. She’s a Maryland licensee serving clients in Upper Marlboro, Mitchellville, Clinton, Cheltenham, Brandywine, Waldorf, Fort Washington, Temple Hills, Bowie and throughout the State.
LaShawn is tech savvy and understands the importance of using technology to not only communicate effectively with her clients, but also to successfully market property. She is active on various social media channels which help to provide maximum exposure for today’s sellers and are a valuable resource for house sightseers searching for homes not yet listed on the MLS®.
LaShawn was born a Washingtonian and was educated in Maryland’s Prince George County School system. She graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and held the title of Miss Senior of her class. Following graduation, LaShawn was employed by Freddie Mac Secondary Mortgage Corporation in Virginia. She served for ten years at Freddie Mac and there she enrolled in the Smart Lending course, CreditSmart, which peaked her interest in real estate sales and inspired her to educate others on how to build creditworthiness. LaShawn was awarded the Freddie Mac Foundation’s Excellence of Service Volunteer Award for four consecutive years.
LaShawn’s passion for decorating helps sellers to stage their homes for sale and buyers to see the potential in the homes they are considering. She has impeccable vision and her artistic self allows her to express the beauty within through coordinating special events and parties.
